The Challenge

Shopify is a leading e-commerce platform that empowers users to easily create and customize online stores. The company was founded by Tobias Lütke and Scott Lake, two entrepreneurs who recognized the need for a more user-friendly and efficient solution in the market. 

When they initially set out to open a store for snowboarding equipment called Snowdevil, they quickly realized that the existing e-commerce products were lacking in terms of functionality and ease of use. Instead of accepting these limitations, Tobias and Scott decided to take matters into their own hands and build their own platform. This marked the beginning of Shopify, a company that has since become a dominant player in the e-commerce industry. 

When Shopify sought out a conversion copywriting partner, they were looking for someone who could not only write new content but also revamp existing sales pages to drive more conversions.

The Solution

As their partner, I conducted a thorough analysis of Shopify's landing pages and identified opportunities to more effectively convey the unique benefits of the platform. I focused on using concrete figures and results to provide undeniable proof of the value that Shopify offers its users. This included highlighting specific features and capabilities that set Shopify apart from its competitors.

In addition to highlighting the specific features and capabilities that set Shopify apart from its competitors, I also focused on creating a strong emotional appeal and addressing common objections that potential customers may have had. This included highlighting customer success stories and emphasizing the ease of use and user-friendliness of the platform.

I also worked closely with the Shopify team to align the messaging and branding across all of their marketing assets, including emails, social media posts, and paid advertisements. This helped to create a cohesive and consistent brand image that resonated with their target audience and effectively communicated the value of the platform.

The Results

Thanks to my efforts, Shopify was able to launch new offerings and generate more conversions using the assets and funnels that they already had in place. They were able to dramatically increase their on-page conversion rates, making my partnership with them a great success.
